The program will enable you to develop a practical background and allow your creative practice to the highest standards. This program challenges individuals to extend themselves creatively and conceptually to explore their ideas.
Diploma in Fashion and Textiles is focused on fashion and textile techniques and processes, ideas generation in fashion and textiles, design and innovation, fashion and textiles realisations, personal and professional development in the apparel industry and a final major project.
The aim of this diploma is to develop the designing skills and to facilitate the identification and development of a personal rationale for your own creative practice. You have the opportunity to follow the distinctive pathway in fashion design to an advanced level on completion of the Diploma in Fashion and Textile program.

The OTHM Level 3 Diploma in Fashion and Textiles qualification consists of 6 mandatory units, for a combined total of 120 credits, 1200 hours Total Qualification Time (TQT) and 630 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for the completed qualification.
Mandatory Units:
- Introduction to Fashion and Textiles Techniques and Processes
- Ideas Generation in Fashion and Textiles
- Design and Innovation
- Fashion And Textiles Realisations
- Personal And Professional Development in the Apparel Industry
- Final Major Project
All units within this qualification are internally assessed by the centre and externally verified by OTHM. The qualifications are criterion referenced, based on the achievement of all the specified learning outcomes.
To achieve a ‘pass’ for a unit, learners must provide evidence to demonstrate that they have fulfilled all the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all assessment criteria. Judgement that the learners have successfully fulfilled the assessment criteria is made by the Assessor.
OTHM qualifications at Level 3 represent practical knowledge, skills, capabilities and competences that are assessed in academic terms as being equivalent to GCE AS/A Levels.
Fridays: 8.15 am to 5 pm
An internationally & nationally recognized training:
- UK qualification – OTHM Level 3. As this qualification is approved and regulated by Ofqual(Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation), many universities acknowledge the ability of learners after studying the OTHM Level 3 Diploma in Fashion and Textiles and may consider them for direct entry into a range of their Bachelor degree programmes. - We are also a registered institute under the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC).
A minimum of 80% attendance is required for certification
Successful completion of the OTHM Level 3 Diploma in Fashion and Textiles provides learners with the opportunity for workplace and academic progressions.

Entry Requirement
- Age – 16 years and above.
- Candidates must demonstrate their English language proficiency by either passing the English subject at the GCE Ordinary Level examination or by providing other evidence of their English language ability.
- Suitable for: Individuals interested in learning the basic of all aspects under fashion design.
